Foye Likely In Uniform Tonight

Thunder GM Sam Presti says newly acquired combo guard Randy Foye could be in uniform tonight when OKC hosts the Indiana Pacers. Presti spent about 20 minutes speaking with reporters on a wide range of topics this morning.

He said he likes the deal because he thinks Foye will make the team better because he’s a versatile player who is also a high character guy.

Presti also revealed that he went into the process pretty happy with where the team is and didn’t feel a major deal was necessary. He did admit though the Thunder certainly have room to grow this season.

Superstar Kevin Durant, addressing reporters just after the team’s shoot-around, said Foye participated in the workout but only on a very limited basis. Durant said he said he knows Foye as a player who is a good defender and can knockdown threes. He revealed he’s also heard from other players around the league that Foye has a reputation for being a great teammate and a solid veteran voice in the lockerroom.

Foye was no seen on the practice floor when reporters were allowed into the gym today and was not made available. However, Foye will likely meet with the media this evening at The Peake before tonight’s game.
