Adams Out For Wednesday's Game Against Barcelona
By Randy Renner, Senior Writer
Thunder center Steven Adams will miss Wednesday’s game at Barcelona, Spain, with a sprained ankle suffered in Monday’s loss in Madrid.
It appeared Adams landed on the foot of another player after hitting a shot late in the first half, he immediately winced in pain and then limped off the court to the locker room. After the game some players were quoted as saying Adams was limping but feeling better and walking without the aid of a boot.
The Thunder so far, as is their custom, have not gone into great detail about the injury but Adams is expected to be re-evaluated when the team returns to Oklahoma City Thursday.
Adams played just over nine minutes, scoring seven points and grabbing a rebound in OKC’s 142-137 overtime loss to Real Madrid.
