Thunder fans are anxious to see their team back together for the first time since mid-April and fans in Newcastle, just southwest of Oklahoma City, will get the first look.

The team's annual Blue/White scrimmage will be held at the Newcastle High School gym on Sunday, October 4th at 3pm.

“We are thrilled to be bringing the Thunder experience to Newcastle,” said Thunder Senior Vice President Brian Byrnes. “The Newcastle community has shown its loyal support for our team and its excitement to host this event at every stage of this process."

In addition to the team, fans will get a chance to see Rumble The Bison, the ThunderGirls, the Storm Chasers and Thunder Alley will be at the high school too, opening at noon.

“The annual Blue and White Scrimmage gives us an outstanding opportunity to connect with communities across the state and recognize Thunder fans in their hometowns. We are humbled by the support we continue to receive across Oklahoma,” Byrnes added.

This is the first Blue/White scrimmage to be held in Newcastle. In previous years, the event has taken place in Choctaw, Moore, Bixby, Bethany, Yukon, Midwest City and Oklahoma City.

Thunder Alley is open to anyone, but tickets to the game are being distributed through Newcastle High School and will not be available to the general public.
