Schedule Coming Wednesday Afternoon
By Randy Renner
The wait is finally almost over.
The NBA will release its 2014-15 regular season schedule Wednesday at 5pm Oklahoma time during a special on NBA-TV.
The league's premier games, Opening Week, Christmas, top rivalry games set for national TV will be announced during the special.
The full schedule will be released through NBA.com and moments later you'll be able to see the Thunder's schedule on Thunder.nba.com.
Usually the NBA tries to get the schedule out by the end of July or the first couple of days of August, but this season some free agent moves (mostly LeBron James going back to Cleveland) were partly to blame for the delay.
The Cavs suddenly are must-see TV again and the Miami Heat have cooled just a bit. The NBA has also been working out a full week off for players around the All-Star Game and that also contributed to the delay.
The Thunder have usually announced their full preseason schedule by now too but that hasn't been done either. More than likely that news will come Wednesday also.
Check back here on the site, we'll pass along any matchups that might leak between now and the official announcement and we'll break down the schedule and some of the more interesting games Wednesday evening.
