Thunder Summer League Starts Saturday
By Randy Renner
I know we're all still caught up in the Thunder's pursuit of free agents Pau Gasol, Mike Miller and perhaps others but you can also get a basketball game fix beginning Saturday.
The Orlando Summer League opens tomorrow and the Thunder will play at 4pm Oklahoma time against the Memphis Grizzlies. You can see all Summer League games on NBA-TV.
The Thunder released their roster today.
Rookie draft picks Mitch McGary, Josh Huestis and Semaj Christon will play and so will young veterans Perry Jones III, Jeremy Lamb, Steven Adams and Andre Roberson.
Seven other players who've seen playing time with the Thunder's D-League affiliate the Tulsa 66ers are also on the roster.
The team will be led by 66ers head coach Darko Rajakovic.
In addition to Saturday's game against Memphis, the Thunder will play Philadelphia also at 4pm Oklahoma time on Sunday, Brooklyn (whose team includes former OSU guard Markel Brown) at 6pm on Monday and Indiana at 2pm on Wednesday.
The Orlando Summer League Championship game is set for Friday but no tip time has been set. The Thunder's team won the Orlando Summer League last season.
