Westbrook MRI Reveals No Issues

Okay Thunder fans, you can breathe again. An MRI and full clinical examination conducted today on Russell Westbrook's right knee found no areas of concern after last night's collision with Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry.

Westbrook will continue to be on a minutes restriction and will be limited to playing in just one game of back-to-back sets, but no additional restrictions will be implemented.

Friday night after the Raptors game Westbrook walked out of the Air Canada Centre without the aid of crutches or a knee brace. He said at the time he did not expect to miss any additional time.

The Thunder did not practice today and may not tomorrow so it's unclear whether Westbrook will play in Monday's game with Denver or Tuesday's game in Dallas or perhaps miss both just to be on the safe side and wait till Friday's game with Sacramento.
