Durant Out Again Tonight With Sprained Toe

By Randy Renner

The injury bug continues to bite the Thunder hard. Superstar Kevin Durant will not be able to go tonight against the Orlando Magic as he continues to deal with pain and discomfort from a sprained big toe on his left foot.

Dion Waiters will start in Durant's place tonight because KD's regular backup, Perry Jones, is also out tonight with a sprained ankle.

Durant was seen at shootaround this morning soaking his left foot in a tub of ice. He appeared to be limping some during Saturday's loss in Memphis.

Head coach Scott Brooks told reporters before the game that Durant's toe has not improved as team doctors would like.

Durant continues to be listed as day-to-day but his status for Wednesday's game in New Orleans is also in question.

KD has been injured three to es this season and tonight's game will be the 26th he's missed.

Brooks said he didn't know how serious Jones' sprained ankle is and he added he didn't find out about until after shootaround.

Meanwhile, Magic coach Jacque Vaughn got some good injury news, guard Victor Oladipo will be back in the starting lineup after missing Orlando's game in Dallas the other night with a sore right Achilles.

Tipoff is set for 7:10 this evening and you can see the game on Fox Sports Oklahoma. As usual we'll be here with complete coverage, including postgame comments from inside the lockerroom.
